Different Orange Juicing Machines and the Benefits of Doing It

Orange juicers were invented in 1928 by Isaac Zaksenberg in Israel, it is designed with pointed cone shaped center where you press the citrus fruit until its juice are extracted. Its hand held version is called the “lemon reamer”, “citrus reamer”, or simply “reamer”.

The most commonly used type today is the electrically powered machines that separate juice from its pulp. Though pulps are usually discarded, others still make use of it as muffins, breads or composting.

There are 3 types of electric juicers namely; (1)centrifugal juicers, (2) masticating juicers, (3)centrifugal juicers. The first type does the juicing by using sharp edges and strainers to separate a juice from its parts. Masticating juicers on the other hand crush the fruit to squeeze out the juice as it separates from its pulp. Centrifugal juicers grind the fruit by its forceful spin and extract the juice out by pushing the pulp against its filter. As the pulp goes to the waste bin, the juice also goes to its attached collecting container. Masticating and triturating juicers can also juice wheatgrass unlike centrifugal juicers that cannot break the fibers of the grass.

The single auger masticating juicer uses a profiled screw style molding to compact and crush fruit and vegetable matter against its stationary screen allowing juice to flow through the screen while pulp is expelled through a separate outlet. If you are looking for fruit and vegetable juicers offering the best juice yield, you may consider the most expensive Twin gear triturating machines. This uses tow metal counters rotating gears to crush the juicing fodder. The exact forbearance of the gears allows the juice to flow through the gap between the gears while the large pulpy matter passes along the top of the gears and is discharged.

Different types of fruit juicers came about because of the public’s desire to be healthy by drinking fresh fruit juices. It contains phytochemicals and antioxidants, living enzymes, vitamins, anti-cancer elements and anti inflammatory effect for diseases such as arthritis. Orange juice for instance is abundant in Vitamin C and potassium – one of the most essential elements that our body needs. It reduces blood pressure, improves circulation and reduces weight. According to recent studies, it also has an anti –cancer detoxifying effect.

Fruit juicing is definitely one of the most delightful thing that you can do in the kitchen. Whatever tool you use to make a freshly made juice doesn’t really, matter as long as you are comfortable with it and it fits to your need.
