Kinect Games for Kids
The Nintendo Wii was an extremely popular success among little kids as well as some adults who never played video games before. Microsoft is looking to make money off of these markets with their newest motion control device Kinect, which will be for the Xbox 360. Kinect will allow video game players of all ages to be able to play video games using only their body and voices. Kinect is a camera that can track full body movements as well as intelligent voice recognition.
Kinect will be fantastic for kids, especially little kids, to be able to enjoy video games. Whereas most who are younger won’t understand pressing buttons on a standard video game controller, they do know how to move their body, so there will be specific games that will allow them to be able to play, since they won’t need to learn anything new. Their parents, who may not know how to play video games, will be able to join in with the fun since all they need to know how to do is move their bodies as well. This will turn video games into something that the entire family can enjoy.
One of the Kinect games that is coming out that is geared towards little kids is Kinectimals. It will allow your children to have a virtual pet that they can take care of on the screen, as well as teach commands to and have fun playing with. Because of the voice recognition capabilities, the pets will be able to learn your voice, and will be able to respond to certain commands that you give them. Another way to teach the virtual pet will be to act out the moves. If you want to teach your tiger how to sit, then you’ll be able to sit and the tiger will mimic your moves. You can teach them to roll over and jump, as well as play fetch.
Kinect will definitely allow younger kids to be able to enjoy video games in a whole new way.
