Tea lights are small candles whose name is something of a mystery. They do not have much to do with tea. Potpourri pots contain a small space underneath where a person places the small candle. If none of the standard shapes or festive shapes meet a person’s need, tea light orders are often made out of metals that are easily bent into other shapes.
When setting the lights on the holder, remember to light the candles from the top down. Lighting the candles from top to the bottom keeps you from getting burned. It also keeps your hand in a comfortable area. Remember to blow the candles in the tea lighter holder out before you leave or go to bed. Candles in tea light holders can cause a fire just as easily as any other type of unattended flame. No one wants to see that their house was burnt to the ground by a teal light holder.
