Themed Lights in the Garden

In the world of garden lighting, whimsical themed lights rule. Conventional light fixtures simply don’t have a place in the plant and animal filled environment we call a garden. In a garden, an industrial style light mount would look out of place. It makes more sense to use a light which has the appearance of an animal, plant or natural shape which blends in and compliments its surroundings. Why would someone want to use lights in their garden? A good deal of individuals enjoy being in their garden at night. Whether they are enjoying some hot cocoa on a cold winter night or having a party with family and friends, even a few garden lights can jazz up any garden experience.

One of the most common designs used in garden lights is that of bugs. Bugs such as bees and ladybugs are common sights in a garden, so it makes sense to model lights after these creatures. Bug lights for the ground often have several lights which are connected together with a wire. The bugs can be placed in a garden planting bed with the wire obscured by dirt or plant material. This results in small pockets of light which present a personal touch and help people feel more connected with the garden instead of detached.

While bug lights are a hot item, animals are also popular. Animals like birds are also seen in gardens. One common style of bird light features a clear plastic hummingbird attached to the top of a stick. The bird changes colors to produce a cool light show. A solar module on the stick allows for wire free use. The LED lights inside the hummingbird produce true colors which are bright and instantly recognizable. Besides animals, shapes are also popular. Things like color changing balls and spiraling helixes are cool too.
