Two (Slighlty Different) Chocolate Cookie Recipes

Here are two great cookies recipes you should try. The first one is very similar to the classic chocolate cookie recipe, but it is by far my favourite because the result is more crunchy cookies and a more intense chocolate flavour.
The ingredients are:
155gr butter, softened
55gr sugar
55gr brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
115gr flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Half tsp baking soda
115gr chocolate chips
55gr walnuts, ground

Preheat the oven at 180ºC. in a bowl work the butter with the two sugars until you get a soft a smooth cream. Then add the egg and the vanilla extract and mix until blended. Add the sifted flour, the baking soda and stir until blended, then finish with the chocolate chips and the walnuts. Pour the mix on a baking tray, leaving a distance of 1 inch for one another, then bake for 10-15 minutes, until it has increased in size. Let it cool to room temperature on a rack and store in an airtight container.

The second recipe is for chocolate and chili pepper cookies.

60gr butter, softened
200gr flour
100gr sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 egg
Grated zest of one orange
80gr dark chocolate
1 pinch of baking powder
1 pinch of Chili pepper

Preheat the oven at 200ºC. Finely grind the chocolate in a mixer. Sift the flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl. Add the butter, egg, salt, orange zest and milk and mix well. Lastly add the ground chocolate and the chili pepper. Bring all the ingredients together and – using your hands – form small balls and place on a cake tin (previously greased with butter and dusted with flour), and bake for 10-15 minutes.
