Understanding Menopause

Have you been experiencing weird stuffs on your body lately? Is falling or staying asleep becoming an issue? Are you wakening up by sweat in the middle of the night, and do you always feel so stressed out even if there is nothing bothering you? And have you suddenly started losing your libido? If you think you’re going out of your mind—don’t worry, you’re not.

I’ve got some good news for you– you are not going crazy. But I also have a bad news, you are going through a change and you’re having hormone imbalance symptoms which are associated with menopause. If you’re a woman on your 30′ to 40′s, this means you are going through perimenopause or the first stage of menopause.

Perimenopause usually lasts from three to four years, and even some women go through this experience for ten years. These signs and symptoms are almost the same with menopause signs, the only difference is they feel worse due to the fact that you’re body is new to these feelings.

Perimenopause is really a hormone imbalance, but what does it really mean?

When a woman goes through their menstrual cycle for the first 10 – 12 days only estrogen is produced. After that, the body then produces another hormone called progesterone. As long as these two are produced, there are no threats of a hormone imbalance to occur. But when you get to the menopause stage, only estrogen is produced, and progesterone is not produced because there is no ovulation. That’s when your whole system goes crazy, and you start experiencing the symptoms.

When you start feeling the symptoms and signs of menopause, the best idea would be to talk to a doctor on the earliest possible time. There are a lot of treatments for hormone imbalance available. They will also teach you how to live a healthy lifestyle to reduce issues caused by menopause
